Slavery Today

Slavery continues in different forms in almost every country in the world. People have different ideas on what is considered slavery. for example workers in low-wage jobs or inhumane working conditions. However modern-day slaves differ from these workers because they are forced to work under the threat of extreme violence.
A BBC program called Slavery Today explores some of the places where slavery is still common and takes a look at the fastest growing problem in modern slavery: trafficking people into the West.

Woolworths starts closing down

Woolworths is closing down and they have 813 store in UK, About 30,000 people work for Woolworths, which owes banks and other businesses about £385m.

Cat's crimes get owner in a flap

The cat's name is Frankie and the cat's owner is Julie Bishop, they leave in Swindon. The Frankie always steal the toys from other pet or the store.

What? Frankie is stealing dozen of toys from other pet or store.

Why? The cat steal toys for fun.

Zoo poo used to grow fruit & veg

Twycross Zoo has about 1,000 animals, which produce about 800 tonnes of poo every year - that's about the same weight as 160 elephants!

But now, instead of sending the muck to landfill, they've got a machine which can turn the poo into compost.

The compost's used on crops to feed the animals, then the cycle starts again!
